Chelsea vs. FC Barcelona (in Gothenburg)
There is a Champions League final on this weekend – for the women of Chelsea and FC Barcelona. For Chelsea to achieve this with men and women in the same season is quite big. In contrary to the men’s competition, for the women, the final venue could be maintained though.
Chelsea earned their place with a 4-1 home win over FC Bayern München in the semifinal return leg. After the first leg, they had trailed 1-2. Barcelona had drawn the first leg against Paris St-Germain away, but beat the French team 2-1 in the return leg.
Chelsea arrived in Gothenburg from Farnborough two days before the game, using 2 Excel Aviation’s Boeing 737-300 G-SWRD. Almost at the same time, the Barcelona team arrived with KlasJet’s Boeing 737-500 LY-KLT from Barcelona.
